Guernsey Finance Industry Update

24 January 2018 - St James

2:30PM - 5:00PM

Guernsey is home to a flourishing financial services industry, one that has so far successfully navigated the global uncertainty that will characterise 2017 – but our attentions at Guernsey Finance are already turning to 2018 and the promotional challenges and opportunities that lie ahead from a UK, European and worldwide perspective.

With Brexit negotiations between the UK and the European Union set to step up a notch ahead of the leave date of 29 March, 2019, it will be more important than ever for Guernsey industry to understand what the future UK and European financial landscape might look like. With that in mind, Guernsey Finance has secured Miles Celic, Chief Executive of TheCityUK – the representative body which champions the UK-based financial and related professional services industry, as keynote speaker for our annual industry update at St James.

Stakeholders will hear from Miles on his organisation’s work in the UK and how Guernsey’s financial services sector fits in with its remit, as well as TheCityUK’s involvement in positioning London and the wider UK financial services market for a post-Brexit future.

In addition, the update will hear from the likes of Chief Executive Dominic Wheatley, Deputy Chief Executive Kate Clouston and Marketing Director Barnaby Molloy on the exciting progress Guernsey Finance has made during 2017 and more detail on its plans for 2018 across its target markets.

Please join us at St James on Wednesday 24 January 2018. Registration will be open from 2:30pm, with the event starting at 3pm followed by a drinks reception to finish.

We look forward to seeing you there.
