Steve Evans is the owner and editor-in-chief of Artemis.bm, the longest running title focused on ILS and alternative markets, as well as ReinsuranceNe.ws, a new and growing title focused on traditional reinsurance markets. He has tracked the development of the catastrophe bond market since the mid-1990’s until today and also has a background in internet technologies. Evans advises ILS and insurance technology start-ups, speaks on subjects related to the evolution of the reinsurance market, and holds a number of board positions in the internet start-up space as well.

Head of Global ReSpeciality Bermuda
Jonty joined Aon’s graduate program in 2006 and since then held positions across USA / International Wholesale, UK&I Retail and moved to Global ReSpecialty in 2010.
In 2018 Jonty moved to Aon’s Bermuda office to Head up the Global ReSpecialty team on the island, running a joint venture with the UK, USA and other offices on all applicable global Non Marine, Marine Specialty and Aviation clients and markets.
Jonty holds a Bachelor of Science Hons. degree from Bristol University, UK.
Paul Delbridge has 32 years of experience in the global insurance and reinsurance industry, including a three year secondment to the US. Paul has been a partner at PwC for 19 years, and his clients include a number of the world’s leading reinsurers and global insurance groups. Paul has very extensive experience of reserving issues across all lines of business, including liabilities from natural and man-made catastrophes.

Paul heads up and is responsible for the coordination and development of the Artex ILS business across all domiciles. He joined Artex in 2004 after a 13 year career with RSA in various underwriting and management roles. More recently Paul headed up Artex’s International business development. Based in Guernsey he is a Director on our ILS cell companies and also an Artex board Director.

Niklaus Hilti has more than 19 years of experience in the reinsurance or ILS industry and has been with the team since the beginning at Bank Leu in 2004. Prior to joining Bank Leu and later Credit Suisse, he spent two years at Helvetia Insurance, where he was Head of the Non-Life Reinsurance team. Prior to Helvetia, he served as Head of the Natural Catastrophe Pricing team at Converium Ltd. Niklaus Hilti holds a master’s degree in Mathematical Physics and Meteorology from the University of Basel, Switzerland.
Bryan is an actuary and business leader with more than 35-years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry globally.
He has led the PwC actuarial practice in both the UK and globally and as actuarial practice leader he was a member of the firm's global insurance leadership for more than 10 years, during which time the insurance actuarial business grew to one of the four largest practices of that type in the world with 1,200 actuaries in 36 countries.
Bryan is Chairman of XL Insurance Company SE in Ireland and a non-executive director of the UK-based AXA XL insurance company and Lloyd’s Managing Agency.
Bryan is a founding partner of Vario Partners LLP – a business established to design, develop and implement structures that link insurance risks with the capital markets, including all forms of insurance risk (reserving and underwriting across all classes) impacting the industry.
Christopher has significant experience in investment funds, insurance and reinsurance and protected and incorporated cell companies. He has built a strong reputation in private equity, having advised some of the world's largest private equity houses as well as new fund promoters in connection with fund establishment, investment structuring, exits and regulatory issues.
He has also advised the insurance and reinsurance sector for almost 25 years and has been recognised in the Guide to the World's Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers from 2004 - 2016. He was also listed in the International Who's Who Legal of Private Funds Lawyers in 2018.
Chris Anderson previously worked with leading magic circle firm Clifford Chance in the City of London and Clayton Utz in Sydney before relocating to Guernsey in 2002.
He joined Carey Olsen as a partner in 2010.
Colin Scagell is a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice and Insurance Industry Group of the London office of Mayer Brown, focusing on the insurance sector and has advised on many of the market leading insurance transactions of the past two decades. He has a strong focus on cross-border public transactions including takeovers, listings and secondary securities offerings. He also advises on insurance linked security (ILS) transactions and on a variety of third-party capital structures at the convergence point of the financial services industry.
Since the adoption of the UK Risk Transformation Regulations in late 2017 he has advised sponsors, underwriters and investors on almost every PRA authorised vehicle to date. Colin joined Mayer Brown in September 2011 from the London office of a leading New York law firm, prior to which he qualified at a top city firm.
Head of Actuarial & Analytics
Jason leads Aon’s UK non-life insurance actuarial consulting team. He has worked as an actuary in the London Market for sixteen years. Since joining Aon in August 2011, Jason has led the delivery of a number of complex capital modelling, reserving, Solvency II and loss forecasting projects. His clients include Lloyd’s syndicates, global (re)insurance groups, specialist catastrophe reinsurers, ILS funds and captive insurance companies.
Before he joined Aon, Jason worked as a capital actuary in the Lloyd’s Market, leading the development of Solvency II compliant internal models for five syndicates. Prior to this, Jason worked as a Pricing Actuary for Zurich Global Corporate and a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jason is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London.
