Guernsey Funds Forum
14 May 2020 - London
12:00PM - 5:00PM
Financing a sustainable future
In the complex environment of a new decade, Guernsey is proving the strengths of its simple and expert approach towards investment funds.
Moving into 2020, Guernsey’s fund sector emerges stronger and more competitively placed, as its established strengths of service, market access and flexibility, and its proven ability to address global concerns of substance and sustainability, make Guernsey increasingly attractive.
'Sanctuary' is the theme for the Guernsey Funds Forum 2020, providing a platform for discussions with two expert industry panels.
Panel One: Capitalism with a purpose - rhetoric or reality?
At the turn of the decade, global movers and shakers fell over themselves at Davos to claim a moral imperative for business. Against a continuing backdrop of Middle East tensions, global trade disputes, and unrest in the Far East, we ask a panel of leading investment figures whether this purpose is a particularly ‘western’ concern and serves as a distraction from their primary investment strategies. What lessons should be drawn by the global fund community?
Panel Two: The attraction of core values to a diverse universe
The continuing diversification of investment strategies and structures, development of business models and the introduction of new asset classes and sustainable investment themes are taking place during a period of massive global transition – regulatory, political and economic. Our panel of investment professionals will discuss how Guernsey’s simple strengths support their individual strategies and competitive offers within such a complex and shifting investment backdrop.
The Guernsey Funds Forum continues to develop year on year and has become a must-attend event for many key investment fund decision-makers in London.
Administering over US$400bn AUM, Guernsey is a global funds specialist, Europe’s leading specialist private equity domicile, and a centre of alternative assets such as private equity, infrastructure and alternative debt.
