Rupert moved to Guernsey as a boy and was educated in the island. His career in financial services has taken him globally, beginning in London, and on to Hong Kong, Asia, South Africa and Switzerland, before returning to Guernsey. His background is in private banking and trust and corporate services, where he has held a number of senior management roles in global companies. As well as an MBA from the University of Cape Town, Rupert holds a law degree, and is a member of STEP, CISI and the Institute of Directors.

Alistair Morgan

CEO - MDR Mayfair Group

Alistair has an extensive blue chip background in the international private wealth industry and has worked in the UK, Guernsey and the Cayman Islands. He specialises in the management of family offices and international private wealth structures, including trusts and commercial enterprises.

Previously Alistair spent 16 years at a private client firm of chartered accountants and then move to the position as CEO of a Single Family Office, where he served as a Director and CFO of a number of the family’s privately owned companies and charitable foundations.

Alistair joined MdR Mayfair as CEO in 2014, and now assists international families, their family offices and their businesses on a wide range of matters. Alistair works with his clients to create effective governance structures and helps them to equip the next generation for the responsibility of being custodians of their family’s heritage, assets and businesses. He also helps families to plan, build and launch their own private family offices.

Arabella Murphy

Director - Propitious (London) Ltd

Arabella is a Strategic Consultant for wealthy families, trustees and family businesses from around the world, and a mediator. After nearly 25 years as a highly-regarded private wealth lawyer, Arabella set up Propitious to provide practical, non-legal advice on strategy, risk, and dispute resolution. During the pandemic, she has helped clients with issues as diverse as preparing contingency plans for a group of trusts and family companies, to finding a new home for a family keen to escape a hot-spot, to finalising the terms of separation agreements.

Andrew Niles

Director - Charter Consulting Limited

Andrew Niles is the founder of Charter Consulting, advising family offices, trust companies and corporates globally. He returned to Guernsey in 2015 after 25 years in Hong Kong and Switzerland. In Hong Kong he was most recently the Executive Director with Bank of China International leading their international client strategy. In Guernsey he has worked with leading trust companies including Intertrust Group, where he was Head of Business Development.

Andrew has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial markets focusing on trusts, banking, investment and multi-generational strategy for Ultra High Net Worth Clients. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate practitioners, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and a Member of the London Institute for Banking and Finance. He holds a Hong Kong Securities Institute Practicing Certificate in Securities.
