Paul Wilkes heads up Collas Crill's corporate, finance and funds team. He specialises in investment funds and banking, advising on the establishment and regulation of open and closed ended funds. Paul also advises private equity executives on the structuring of carried interest and related matters.

Paul's banking practice involves acting for lenders and borrowers, advising on Guernsey regulatory and security issues, and as advisor to banks in enforcement situations.

Paul has advised on complex, multi-jurisdictional lending transactions involving Guernsey investment funds as borrowers, as well as Guernsey asset-holding vehicles.

Paul is also actively involved in local industry, sitting as an elected member of the Guernsey Investment Funds Association Executive Committee.

Melanie joined the Intertrust Group in October 1993 after graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in Business Studies. Since joining the Group, Melanie attained Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Melanie has a wealth of experience in the offshore fund administration industry, including open and closed ended investment funds, real estate structures and private equity vehicles.

Melanie has experience with the structuring and set up of a variety of fund structures both listed and non-listed, and has an extensive knowledge of day to day fund administration services and regulatory requirements. Melanie currently holds a number of Board positions across private equity fund clients.

Neil specialises in all aspects of UK offshore taxation with a particular focus on trusts and collective investment vehicles. As well as advising on the formation of new structures Neil undertakes reviews of existing structures to ensure they are fit for purpose and proposes restructuring solutions where required to ensure maximum tax efficiencies can achieved.

He is currently working on a raft of changes to the UK tax treatment of UK property and their impact for Channel Island funds as well as helping local entities understand the impact of the new EU Substance Laws on their business.

Christopher spent more than 20 years in a number of roles at Investec Asset Management in Guernsey before founding Midshore Consulting in 2016. The business has since expanded into a joint venture operating in North America and the Caribbean.

He holds a number of senior positions within the Guernsey financial services industry, as Chair of the Guernsey Investment and Funds Association (GIFA), a council member of the Guernsey International Business Association, and Vice President of the Guernsey branch of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

He is responsible for implementing the business development strategy, which is to promote the island as a global finance specialist and connect Guernsey’s industry in its chosen target markets. James has more than 20 years' experience in the fiduciary sector, where he worked for international banks and independent trust companies based in the Channel Islands, Switzerland and the UAE.
