Dr Andy Sloan

Deputy Chief Executive, Strategy

As Deputy CEO, Strategy, Guernsey Finance, Andy is responsible for co-ordinating the development of financial services strategy. Andy established and chairs Guernsey Green Finance, the island’s sustainable finance initiative, and represents Guernsey at the UN’s Finance Centres for Sustainability Network. He is an expert reviewer for the International Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report and a Non-Exec Director of ESI Monitor, an environmental assessment company. He is a member of the BVCA’s Channel Islands Working Group, the CityUK’s IRSG’s regulatory coherence working group and is a member of the Institute of Directors and Institute of Risk. He joined Guernsey Finance on August 1st, 2018, from the GFSC where he was Director of Financial Stability and International Policy Advisor. He was previously GIBA’s first technical advisor and prior to this was States Economist and Head of Policy & Research. Andy has a PhD in Macroeconomics.

Rebecca Booth

Client Director

Rebecca Booth, Client Director at Guernsey-based administration firm Carey, is a professional governance adviser, who over the past 15 years has worked with fund and listed company boards in European and offshore locations worldwide to apply best practice on issues such as ESG and migration.

Rebecca, a member of the Guernsey Green Finance working group, has a Master’s Degree in Corporate Governance, and has presented her research to academic peers at the International Corporate Governance Society conference in Rome and the British Academy of Management in the UK.

Lyn Tomlinson

Head of Impact and Philanthropy

Lyn has over 16 years’ experience in advising private clients and joined Cazenove in 2014. She is Head of Impact and Philanthropy and is responsible for the impact investment and philanthropy client proposition. Lyn is a member of the Cazenove sustainable investment and asset class committees which are responsible for the strategy, selection and oversight of all sustainable and impact funds held within client portfolios. She is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Chartered Wealth Manager holding the CISI Masters in Wealth Management qualification.

Russell Clark

Partner

Russell Clark heads up the trusts and private wealth department in Carey Olsen’s Guernsey office advising on both contentious and non-contentious trust and private wealth matters. He also advises private clients on succession and estate planning.

Russell is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having previously been Chairman the STEP Guernsey Branch Technical Committee and Branch Committee member for 18 years. He remains involved in assisting the STEP Technical Committee.

He is also a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law (IAETL) and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

Peter Hodson

Peter has extensive experience in banking ,finance, wealth management and fiduciary services, spanning over 35 years, in Hong Kong, Singapore and Guernsey advising high net worth individuals, family offices and financial institutions in the areas of succession planning and asset protection, including the use of trusts, foundations, private investment funds, partnerships and special purpose investment vehicles.

Peter is the Founder of a Guernsey fiduciary consultancy company in 2002, Hodson & Company Limited, and he holds a personal fiduciary licence from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. Peter is also an English and Hong Kong solicitor and practices as a consultant with Stephenson Harwood’s private wealth team in Hong Kong. He holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors , is an accredited mediator by CEDR, and a long term member of STEP since 1992 as well as a tutor on their International Diploma in Trust Management since 2002 and as the author and an assessor for the STEP Post Graduate Diploma in Private Wealth Advising.

Rupert Morris

Partner

Rupert is a partner at Walkers Guernsey and heads up the Private Capital & Trusts Team in Guernsey. Rupert qualified as a Guernsey Advocate in 2010 and specialises in all forms of trust and private client work.

Prior to joining Walkers in 2017 Rupert practiced as a Guernsey Advocate in the Fiduciary and Litigation departments of two leading offshore firms from 2007 to 2017. Before moving to Guernsey he was in practice as a solicitor at a leading commercial firm in the North-West of England.
