Guernsey: 100 Years of Captives
20 October 2022 - London
6:30PM - 10:30PM
The international finance centre of Guernsey is celebrating 100 years of captive insurance in 2022.
In June 1922, the Commercial Insurance Company Limited (CICL) was established and listed with the Guernsey Registry as the island's first ever captive vehicle. Since then, Guernsey has grown into Europe's number one captive insurance domicile, with more than 300 structures based in the island.
We are celebrating this important milestone with an event in London, organised by Guernsey Finance and the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA), and we would love for you to join us there to raise a glass and learn more about Guernsey's world-class captive insurance industry.
Richard Cutcher of the Global Captive Podcast will be recording a live episode with guests: including Airmic Chief Executive Julia Graham, Insurance lawyer and States of Guernsey Deputy Mark Helyar and Captive Insurance Consultant Malcolm Cutts-Watson.
Learn more about the first captive in Guernsey and how the industry has evolved to make the island Europe's leading captive domicile. Drinks and canapes will be served
Further details will be announced in due course.
