Adam is the Chief Responsible Investment Officer at the Church of England Pensions Board. Together with the CIO he is the co-Director of the Investment Team. He is also the Chair of the $45 trillion in AUM backed Transition Pathway Initiative and a Board Member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change.

Adam co-leads sector engagement with the mining and steel sectors for the global investor engagement initiative, Climate Action 100+. He Chairs the Mining 2030 which is developing an Investor Agenda to address systemic challenges to mining and the low carbon transition.

Sustainable Finance Strategic Advisor

Josephine Bush is a strategic advisor to Guernsey Finance. Josephine has worked in the sustainable and green sector for more than 17 years. She was a former partner at EY, helping to build and lead their renewables practice, sitting on their UK&I Power & Utilities Board, and separately, Governance Board. Josephine has an ESG consulting practice working with a variety of organisation on ESG strategy development and execution. Additionally, she sits on a number of listed Boards as ESG Chair, including the Foresight Sustainable Forestry Company Plc, Next Energy Solar Fund Plc and Vulcan Energy Resources. She also sits on Gresham House's investment committee for the British Sustainable Infrastructure Fund. Josephine founded the not for profit, Sustainability & You, which aims to raise levels of awareness in the financial community of the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss with a focus of accelerating solutions.

Managing Director of Sustainable Infrastructure - Gresham House

Peter is Managing Director of Gresham House’s Sustainable Infrastructure division and Fund Manager for our British Sustainable Infrastructure Fund (BSIF) strategy. He is also a member of the Gresham House Sustainability Executive Committee.

Prior to Gresham House, Peter led the investment and exit of the Sustainable Infrastructure-focused Environmental Capital Fund (ECF) for SEP, one of Europe’s most successful VC firms.

With over 21 years of public and private equity investment, development and fund management experience, including two top-decile infrastructure fund exits, he has invested into and exited over 200 infrastructure and technology companies across all sectors with an equity value of over £1.7bn and capital value of c.£5.5bn.

Peter has had board member roles on over 50 investee companies and is a judge and mentor of the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Accelerator and the CleanTech Challenge. Peter is also an active investor in early-stage sustainability companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with honours and two further Bachelor degrees in Finance (BFin) and Commerce (BCom), all from the University of Adelaide, and is a graduate of CISL’s Business Sustainability Management programme.

Head of ESG - NextEnergy Capital

Giulia Guidi is a senior expert on environmental, social and governance (ESG) with more than 20 years' experience in the financial sector with deep and extensive knowledge of the ESG trends. She is Head of ESG at NextEnergy Capital, a leading investment and asset manager which focuses on the solar PV sector. She reports to the CEO and oversees the implementation of the Sustainable Investment Policy across all funds and throughout the whole investment cycle.

Before this role, she was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Chase Investment Bank, where she spent 10 years advancing responsible business globally and across multiple sectors, particularly energy and extractive. Prior to that she worked as an ESG expert at SACE, the Italian Export Credit Agency, and as a researcher at the Italian Environmental Protection Agency. Amongst her other roles, Giulia has advised pension funds, investment banks, insurance companies and NGOs on climate-related policies and practises.

She is a lecturer of Sustainable Finance at Bocconi University, a member of the Eurosif Climate Reporting Initiative Advisory Group and a Non-Executive Board Director at Next Energy Foundation. She holds a MsSc degree in Environmental Engineer and a MsScEng in Renewable Energy Policy and Markets.

Ross Keeling is an Origination Director focused on sustainable finance transactions across Europe. Ross joined HSBC in 2013 as a Relationship Manager in Ireland, covering large corporate clients across a number of different sectors. Since 2018, Ross has lead HSBC Ireland's CRE & Infrastructure proposition and has worked on various sustainable finance transactions in recent years, having developed a keen interest in the topic.

Earlier this year, Ross moved into a dedicated sustainable finance role, tasked with building out HSBC's proposition across Europe. Prior to joining HSBC, Ross worked in Project Finance with KBC and also covered Food & Agriculture clients with Allied Irish Banks.

Harry is an Investment Director in the Octopus Renewables team, part of Octopus Energy. He joined Octopus in 2014 and now heads the Energy Transition investment team, covering sectors including electric vehicles, hydrogen, grid, storage and emissions capture.

At Octopus, Harry's worked extensively on clean energy financing in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Finland and Australia including Europe's first large scale subsidy free solar portfolio (174MW) in Italy and leading the investment team based in Melbourne, Australia for three years.

Harry is a qualified accountant and prior to joining Octopus Renewables worked for 11 years at PwC and EY.

John is Chairman of the Guernsey International Insurance Association's (GIIA) ESG committee, which he was instrumental in forming. The Committee focuses on supporting GIIA members on their journey to improved sustainability and diversity. It also looks to provide education and training to the local industry and wider a field through various industry events.

He is also a member of the GIIA Market Development and Reinsurance & ILS committees, which focus on creating a leading domicile for (re)insurance. He is a Chartered Insurer and ACII and has served the institute in numerous roles.

Adele is Chairman of the Guernsey International Insurance Association and a director of Robus insurance managers in Guernsey.

Adele is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with more than 13 years’ experience in insurance management. She was instrumental in the set up of Guernsey’s first rated catastrophe reinsurer and its Chief Risk Officer. Adele has set up and managed hundreds of collateralised reinsurance cells during her career and sat as a director on a number of innovative and bespoke reinsurance structures.

Adele co-authored the first domicile ESG Framework for insurers and has lead ESG initiatives at Robus transforming the business to be more sustainable.

Gus Majed is CEO and Founder of Paratus Group, the world's first parametric energy price insurance company, based in Guernsey and capable of writing cover against marine fuel, freight (wet & dry), jet fuel, LNG, gas, carbon emissions, power and crude oil.

Prior to this, Gus spent more than 25 years as a front-line oil trader as former Partner and Senior Trader at Vitol, the world's largest energy trader, where he co-founded the global derivatives business in London, Geneva and Singapore. He has also held senior oil trading positions at Shell Trading & Shipping and Hess Energy.

Gus co-founded hedge fund Beca Macro Commodities Fund, a specialist oil & refined products Cayman (CIMA) regulated asset manager. He is a graduate of the University of London (Civil Engineering) & Cambridge University (Economics).
