Guernsey has developed significant experience and expertise for listing vehicles on capital markets including the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and The International Stock Exchange (TISE).
Guernsey is home to more non-UK entities listed on the LSE markets than any other jurisdiction globally. LSE data shows that at the end of December 2020 there were 102 Guernsey-incorporated entities listed across its various markets.
This is comfortably more than the major economic powers of Russia, USA and India. It is also well ahead of competitor centres such as Jersey, Ireland, the Isle of Man, BVI, Cayman and Bermuda.
Guernsey's market leading position is due to a combination of the many advantages it offers companies looking to raise capital in London:
- Experienced providers of legal, tax, accounting and administration services
- Modern company law
- State-of-the-art company registry
- Close proximity to London

The International Stock Exchange (TISE) connects companies seeking to raise capital with investors based around the globe.
Headquartered in Guernsey, TISE's regulated market is uniquely positioned within the European time zone but outside both the UK and the EU.
As well as a major European professional bond market, TISE also has a pool of 'domestic' equities, open and closed ended funds and a significant share of the market for listed UK Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs). There is also a comprehensive sustainable market segment, TISE Sustainable.
Issuers choose TISE because the products are provided through an efficient and cost-effective service from a venue which is internationally recognised and operates to global standards.
There are 2,000 issuers from over 35 countries who have more than 4,000 securities with a total market value of more than £600 billion listed on TISE.
In addition to the LSE and TISE, Guernsey can provide speedy access to a number of international stock exchanges including NYSE, Euronext, Australia, Frankfurt, Toronto, Hong Kong, Ireland and Johannesburg.
TISE Sustainable is the sustainable market segment of The International Stock Exchange (TISE).
TISE Sustainable is Europe's most comprehensive sustainable market segment and there is more than £13 billion listed on TISE which supports green, social and sustainable initiatives.
TISE Sustainable is open to issuers and securities from across both our bond and equity markets which demonstrate their qualifying credentials, including those with a credible transition plan.
There are no additional fees for admission to TISE Sustainable, where there is a straightforward initial application process and ongoing requirements based on public sustainability reporting.
Admissions to TISE Sustainable comprise sustainable issuers, green bonds, catastrophe bonds, sustainable bonds and sustainability-linked bonds.
TISE is a Partner Exchange of the United Nation's Sustainable Stock Exchange initiative (UN SSE) and is committed to being part of the sustainable capital markets ecosystem, both in terms of how it manages its business and through its role as a facilitator of global capital flows.
