Stock exchange listings
Guernsey has developed significant experience and expertise for listing vehicles on capital markets including the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE).
Guernsey is home to more non-UK entities listed on the LSE markets than any other jurisdiction globally. LSE data shows that at the end of December 2015 there were 129 Guernsey-incorporated entities listed on either the Main Market, the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) or the Specialist Fund Market (SFM).
This is comfortably more than the major economic powers of Russia (31), USA (30) and India (28). It was also well ahead of competitor centres such as Jersey (93), Ireland (54), the Isle of Man (54), BVI (43), Cayman (42) and Bermuda (36).
Guernsey's market leading position is due to a combination of the many advantages it offers companies looking to raise capital in London:
- Experienced providers of legal, tax, accounting and administration services
- Modern company law
- State-of-the-art company registry
- Close proximity to London

Headquartered in Guernsey, the CISE offers a regulated marketplace from within the European time zone but outside the EU.
The CISE offers a convenient and cost-effective service for listing a wide range of products, including:
- Trading companies

Established in 1998, the CISE now has more than 2,000 listed securities on its Official List with a total market capitalisation of more than £300 billion.
Its market authority ensures that issuers meet the conditions for listing and trading and that they comply with their continuing obligations, as well as conducting surveillance to maintain market integrity.
In addition to the LSE and CISE, Guernsey can provide speedy access to a number of international stock exchanges including NYSE, Euronext, Australia, Frankfurt, Toronto, Hong Kong, Ireland and Johannesburg.
