In the decade following the global financial crisis, net private financial wealth of family offices and high-net-worth individuals doubled in nominal terms. Meanwhile, allocations to alternative assets such as private equity and venture capital have also doubled.
In this report, part of our 'Reporting Global Developments' series, we ask whether private capital is as significant a source of investment for private equity firms and their funds as these macro trends suggest.
Reflecting our status as a leading centre for servicing funds in private equity and private capital, Guernsey Finance undertook a survey to understand the developing trends in the merging of the private capital and equity space.
