Channel Islands fintech business KYCme has won the Wealth Adviser award for most innovative product.

The third edition of the Wealth Adviser Awards, held on 15 May in London's Mayfair, brought together the leading names in the wealth management industry to celebrate the achievements of the best performing wealth managers and advisers of the past 12 months. Winners were determined by the votes of the magazine's readers, which include wealth managers, IFAs, fund managers, family offices, law firms, accountancy firms and other industry professionals.

KYCme is an online storage and secure exchange solution which is anti-money laundering (AML) and know your client (KYC) compliant. The unique web-based platform allows for the secure electronic storage and exchange of independently certified documentation that can be used for the authentication of documentation for AML, personal identification purpose and other documentary verification purposes.

Dominique Carpentier, Director of KYCme in Guernsey, said operational efficiencies and the new approaches to client acceptance processes within the finance industry had resulted in KYCme being recognised as 'ground-breaking'.

"It is great news to see the Channel Islands' fintech profile being raised internationally. KYCme offers a way for Channel Islands businesses to take the lead and to be smarter, more secure and competitive in their pursuit and on-boarding of an increasingly global client base," said Mr Carpentier.

"KYCme has been developed to benefit anyone needing to digitally store and share identification information in a secure manner. This is of huge benefit to government agencies and businesses especially those in the regulated financial services sector. In addition individuals benefit by avoiding the frustration of supplying reams of paperwork when identifying themselves."
