Offshore law firm Collas Crill has continued its expansion by establishing a representative office in Hong Kong.

The business, which has one of its principal offices in Guernsey, has been expanding its network to grow its global offering in recent years.

Simon Fraser, also based in Hong Kong, has been appointed as consultant to the firm, while Managing Partner of Collas Crill’s Singapore office Stephen Adams will work with him to extend the firm’s reach in Asia.

Mr Fraser has more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor in England, Wales and Hong Kong and more than 14 years of fiduciary experience at senior level with two offshore trust companies.

Mr Adams said it was important that Collas Crill take the opportunity to build on its success in Hong Kong having seen a huge amount of growth in its business sourced from the region.

“A presence in Hong Kong is the next step in extending Collas Crill’s international offering across Asia, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands and we are very excited to continue on this journey,” Mr Adams added.

Collas Crill Group Managing Partner Jason Romer said: “Hong Kong has long been a sophisticated financial jurisdiction using offshore corporate and legal services for many years. This office will help us provide a viable platform to continue developing our practice.”

Earlier this year, Collas Crill was listed as one of the top 10 global offshore law firms by both The Lawyer and Legal Business magazines. The firm as also included as a ‘firm to watch for 2017’ by Asian Legal Business.

In addition to Guernsey, Hong Kong and Singapore, Collas Crill also has offices in BVI, Cayman Islands, Jersey and London
