Our Board

Lyndon served a four year term as Guernsey's Chancellor (2004 - 2008) and progressed to become the jurisdiction's youngest and longest serving Chief Minister to date (2008 - 2012). Following a voluntary period on the back benches and a change to Guernsey's Government structure in May of this year, Lyndon has returned to frontline politics and was elected to serve for a four year term as Guernsey's Deputy Chief Minister, with particular responsibility for international, business and regulatory affairs. A former chairman of a substantial pension fund, Lyndon is also a professional, independent non executive director. He is currently on the board of a leading Guernsey based fiduciary company and also one of the world's largest independent private equity and real estate fund administrators. In addition he is a non executive director of an AIM quoted private equity fund and closed ended, unlisted, private equity structures and several other entities specialising in the investment sector. Lyndon is a graduate of the Institute of Directors company direction programme and is currently Chairman of the board of Guernsey Finance LBG, which is the organisation responsible for promoting Guernsey as an international finance centre.
Patrick qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG Guernsey in 1991 and is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has worked in the fund industry in Guernsey since joining Rothschild Asset Management (CI) Limited in 1992 and was until recently Managing Director of Butterfield Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited. He is a non-executive director of investment funds and management companies. He became Chairman of the Guernsey International Business Association in March 2015.
Dominic is Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance. His role includes business development and the promotion of Guernsey's finance industry in the island's target markets including Europe, the US and the emerging markets, technical research to support promotional activities and liaison with industry associations and government. Previously Chief Marketing Officer of the Willis Global Captive Practice and Managing Director of its Guernsey business, Dominic has over 25 years of finance experience in London and, for the past 19 years in Guernsey.
Michael Betley is Group Chairman of Trust Corporation International. He has worked in London and Guernsey, and was a private client partner of a London law firm before establishing Trust Corporation. Whilst in private practice, Michael was noted as being a leading local presence in The Legal 500. He has acted as an Executive and Non Executive Director of regulated businesses and is a Chartered Director (awarded by the Institute of Directors). Michael is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the International Tax Planning Association, Institute of Directors, Guernsey International Legal Association and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (recent past Chairman of the Guernsey Branch and one of only a few to receive the Founder’s Award for services to the Society). Michael took over the role as Chairman of the Guernsey Association of Trustees (GAT) in March 2012 having acted as Deputy Chairman since 2008. As part of that role he is also involved with the Guernsey International Business Association and Finance Sector Group which gives him insight to the workings of local government and the regulator. Michael is Chairman of the Group and retains primary responsibility for a number of client relationships. He is featured in Citywealth’s Top 20 Leading International Trustees.
