Dominic is Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance. His role includes business development and the promotion of Guernsey's finance industry in the island's target markets including Europe, the US and the emerging markets, technical research to support promotional activities and liaison with industry associations and government. Previously Chief Marketing Officer of the Willis Global Captive Practice and Managing Director of its Guernsey business, Dominic has over 25 years of finance experience in London and, for the past 19 years in Guernsey. Dominic is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves as a non-executive director on a number of local boards. He is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds an MBA from Warwick University.
Kate joined Guernsey Finance in April 2015 and is responsible for leading international business development work in South East Asia, North America and Europe, with a particular focus on evaluating and developing new geographical markets. She is also involved in identifying and implementing development strategies around emerging financial products and attracting new companies to Guernsey. Kate, who can speak six languages including Chinese and Arabic, has previous experience as a Programme Head for the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the independent British think tank engaged in cutting edge defence and security research, as a Media Analyst for Edelman StrategyOne and as a Senior Researcher at the House of Commons.
Joining the team in late 2016, Kirsty is focused on engagement with Guernsey Finance's many stakeholders, strengthening of offshore relationships - particularly into London, and building the agency's overseas communications channels. Kirsty has worked in banking and business advocacy roles in Hong Kong and was most recently Chief of Staff to the Australian Minister for Industry and Science.
Barnaby joined Guernsey Finance in October 2016, focused on delivering a marketing strategy which can successfully promote and connect Guernsey as the leading finance sector in its chosen markets. Barnaby joins with over 10 years of international marketing experience across Digital and TV, having most recently worked as Head of Marketing in the UK for the world’s largest casino company.
Wendy was appointed as Guernsey Finance's China Representative in 2007 and has headed up our Shanghai office ever since. She is responsible for leading and coordinating WE ARE GUERNSEY initiatives across Asia and is the main point of contact for Chinese firms and clients interested in Guernsey. She also assists in hosting and arranging meetings, seminars or events for Guernsey businesses visiting the region. Wendy was educated at university in Shanghai before gaining a degree in accounting and finance from Lancaster University. She previously worked as Government Affairs Executive for Hymall-Tesco and joined Guernsey Finance from being Business Development Manager for the regional economic development agency, One Northeast.
Christopher Chan joined Guernsey Finance as its Asia-Pacific Representative in February 2017. Christopher, who is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, studied linguistics and business at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University before embarking on a career in financial services. Before joining Guernsey Finance he had worked in Hong Kong’s corporate services sector for the previous six years, with a particular focus on business development.
Guernsey Finance appointed Zoë Cousens as its first ever Middle East representative in September 2015. Zoë helps to promote Guernsey's financial services industry in the Middle East and is an on-the-ground presence for WE ARE GUERNSEY. Based in Dubai, she will act as the main point of contact for Middle Eastern firms and clients interested in Guernsey and will assist in hosting and arranging meetings, seminars or events for Guernsey businesses visiting the region.
Simon joined Guernsey Finance as Marketing Executive in March 2012 after more than six years with the Guernsey Press, which included two years as the newspaper's Business Editor. He took over as Communications Manager at Guernsey Finance in April 2015. His role is to organise, develop and implement the agency's public relations strategy, principally with the international financial trade media.
Dominique joined Guernsey Finance in 2015 as our Brand and Marketing Manager after four years as a Graphic Designer for an award winning local design studio where she created advertising and branding for countless local and global brands. Dominique is responsible for the brand identity, the development of marketing strategy and advertising.
James joined Guernsey Finance in September 2015 as Technical Manager. Prior to joining, James held various roles at Carey Group in the UK and Guernsey. James support WE ARE GUERNSEY's communications team with research and analysis and liaising with industry members regarding technical innovations and international developments.
Matt joined Guernsey Finance on a temporary basis in October 2016 to assist with an industry research project and became a full-time member of staff in January 2017, supporting both the Business Development and Communications teams. He graduated from university in 2009 and honed many of the skills required for his new roles while working in the media departments of two Premier League football clubs, freelancing at a London newspaper, working at the Guernsey Press and doing live football commentary for BBC radio.
Nikki currently works as an Events Executive within Guernsey Finance's events team. She is responsible for the organisation of WE ARE GUERNSEY events, conference and seminars. Prior to joining the company, Nikki spent six years managing events and sponsorships for Deloitte’s Guernsey office.
Emily joined Guernsey Finance in December 2015 and currently works as an Events Executive within the events team. She is responsible for the organisation of WE ARE GUERNSEY events, conferences and seminars. Prior to joining the company, Emily spent three years managing fundraising events for locally based charity, Hope for a Child.
